Né en France en 1976, Sébastien se passionne très tôt pour le dessin, remporte un premier prix à l'âge de 10 ans et poursuit des études de design industriel dans les plus grandes écoles françaises à Paris, dont il sort diplômé en 2002. Il remporte deux prix pour Louis Vuitton et Cinna et travaille pendant 4 ans au studio Philippe Starck, puis en freelance avant de créer son propre studio en 2011 et de collaborer avec de nombreuses marques et designers internationaux.

Il décide alors de reprendre son apprentissage artistique inachevé en effectuant des stages à New York en 2015 auprès de Colleen Barry. Une révélation qui l'incite à s'engager davantage dans sa pratique artistique. Il rencontre alors Craig Hanna, qui lui ouvre les portes de son atelier parisien et lui transmet son savoir. C'est également là qu'il rencontre Travis Schlaht et Kate Lehman, avec qui il se lie d'amitié et forme une petite communauté de peintres figuratifs contemporains à Paris.

Soucieux de transmettre ses connaissances en peinture et en dessin à un plus large public, il enseigne d'abord à l'académie d'art de Paris pendant 2 ans, puis fonde l'atelier Figura en 2019.

Il expose régulièrement, personnellement ou en groupe, à Paris et en France, et ses œuvres sont présentes dans plusieurs collections privées, dont celle de Damien Hirst.

Sébastien vit à Paris avec ses 2 enfants.

Born in France in 1976, Sébastien developed a passion for drawing at a very early age, winning a first prize at the age of 10, and going on to study industrial design at the top French schools in Paris, graduating in 2002. He won two prizes for Louis Vuitton and Cinna and worked for 4 years at the Philippe Starck studio, then as a freelancer before setting up his own studio in 2011 to collaborate with numerous international brands and designers.

He then decided to resume his unfinished artistic apprenticeship by taking up internships in New York in 2015 with Colleen Barry. A revelation that spurs him to become more committed to his artistic practice. He then met Craig Hanna, who opened the doors of his Paris studio to him and passed on his knowledge. It was also here that he met Travis Schlaht and Kate Lehman, with whom he became friends and formed a small community of contemporary figurative painters in Paris.

Keen to pass on his knowledge of painting and drawing to a wider public, he first taught at the Paris academy of art for 2 years, then founded the Figura workshop in 2019.

He exhibits regularly, personally or in groups, in Paris and in France, and his work can be found in several private collections, including that of Damien Hirst.

Sébastien lives in Paris with his 2 children.
